Tête-à-tête: Conversations in Canadian Jewish Studies is an interview podcast featuring dynamic, informative, and always thought-provoking discussions about the research and ideas shaping Jewish Canada. Join host Jonathan Slater as he talks with leading scholars, journalists, Jewish community leaders, and more, to unpack the big ideas driving the study of Canadian Jewish life–past, present, and future.

Tête-à-tête: Conversations in Canadian Jewish Studies is hosted by Jonathan Slater, a seasoned communications professional and professor emeritus of public relations at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, where he also directed the Institute for Ethics in Public Life and founded and led the university’s Jewish Studies program. Slater is currently at work on a book about the influence of television on Quebec’s social and political development during the tumultuous years between the province’s Quiet Revolution and October Crisis. He is a faculty associate of SUNY Plattsburg’s Center for the Study of Canada and currently serves on the board of the Marshall McLuhan Initiative, in Winnipeg. He lives on Montreal’s South Shore.
